Getting directly involved in justice advocacy is an invaluable part of bringing about change on these issues. If you want to get involved to help your community and the people around you, there are many great organizations that need advocates and voluenteers!

YWCA
The YWCA provides many services to the community, including aid for those in domestic violence situations, and empowerment and economic advancement programs for black women. The YWCA has chapters in almost every community across the country and encourage volunteers to help advocate and lobby for policies that eliminate racism and empower women.

The Loveland Foundation
An amazing charity that provides vouchers to seek therapy and mental health help for young girls, with a focus on girls of color. Through fellowships, residency programs, and other programs, Loveland Foundation hopes to contribute to the empowerment and the liberation of black communities. This is a small charity who would be most helped by monetary donations.

Live Free
Live Free is a foundation made up of a collection of church congregations that advocate for equality and civic involvement against racial injustice. Some recent initiatives include ending mass incarceration and gun violence, and combating police violence. Volunteers are encouraged to attend public events, and organize their own.

Race Forward
Race Forward is a foundation that focuses on research grounded in how race compounds and intersects with other societal issues. Race Forward supports advocacy and action on complex racial justice issues through research on systemic barriers to racial justice, their media website Colorlines,
and skill building through their training and consulting services.

She Should Run
She Should Run is an organization that empowers women to run for public office. They work to tackle the barriers to elected leadership through data-driven content, education, and collective action. Those who want to be part of the movement can donate, encourage a girl in their life to take on leadership roles, or run for a political office position.
